To Our Fellow Bikers: An update on Floyd. He is improving daily and is in good spirits. One of the first things out of his mouth was, now I can get my 2008 w/ a bigger engine!! He has been getting up and taking short walks, which is wonderful improvement. The doctors say that his broken neck & ribs need to heal on their own, there is nothing they can do to help the process. We thought he was going to get to come home today, however he is still bleeding too much for them to take the chest tube out and sew him back up. It is at 600 right now, they would like to see it under 300. Also, they are afraid he is cetching pnemonia. So they are watching that closely. We thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. Please continue, I will keep you all updated!! Love To All~ Nicole

Day 8- Today's news isn't quite as good as we had hoped. We were mis-informed about how many ribs were actually broken. He has 10, not just 4. Not only that, each rib is broke in multiple places. They did however take the chest tube out and sew him back up yesterday, but it wasn't because they were ready, it was because it had twisted and wasn't doing any good anyways. They said his lung has dropped, which is pretty normal, but if it drops anymore, they will have to put the tube back in. Which just makes my skin crawl. I can't imagine. Also today, they are doing a culture on his ( I can't think of the medical term, but basically crap he hacks up from his lungs ), because the doctor says that it does not look good. We aren't exactly sure what that means, but we are assuming he was implying pnemonia. So he definately will not be going home today either. Please keep praying!!

Hello Dan!

I hope you were not offended by my little gift I left on your bike! It was left with love and smiles held in place by wire ties!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

PS Mike is a snitch! ;-)
